Position Overview

Organization: Toronto Public Library Foundation

Title: Director, Marketing & Communications

Reports to: Vice President, Brand, Marketing & Communications

Team: Three

Location: Toronto Reference Library (Hybrid, 2x a week in office and as needed/required)

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 plus fulsome benefits package. Eligible for additional compensation in annual performance bonus.

You are a savvy and strategic marketer. You bring a combination of data, measurement and results to the table, along with your keen eye for good design. You excel at taking the big picture strategy, alongside your capable team, operationalizing and executing annual plans to achieve the overarching goal. You are a planner, a listener, and a coach and mentor and would be very comfortable taking on a net-new leadership role and helping to define what success and excellence looks like within a new structure.

You would bring your expertise in integrated campaign development, implementation and measurement and would move the revenue dial. You have experience managing vendors and agency partners and treat them as an extension of your team. Working in an integrated, cross functional work environment is where you thrive. You are not a silos person – you work well reaching across your peer table to learn what others are doing and offering your support and partnership. You are a leader who values inclusivity, relationships and transformation. You would bring a fresh, unique perspective to the work due to your professional and personal experiences.
